Today is a day to celebrate hard work, and honestly, it feels like the perfect moment to pull back the curtain and share a little about the hardworking hands behind every single SwiftPaws outdoor kit.
When you buy from SwiftPaws, you're not buying from a company that sketches out a product, ships the specs overseas, slaps its name on a box, and never actually touches what it's selling. That's just not who we are, and it never has been.
We're a small, five-person team, and we do as much as we possibly can right here in the USA. That includes our design, engineering, testing, assembly, fulfillment, and customer support. And yes...even our electronics.

The photos you're seeing are our printed circuit boards the brains behind every SwiftPaws outdoor kit. Our circuit boards are made here in America, and the components that go onto them are assembled here too, by our incredible partner team at Conduction Technologies in Alabama.

There's honestly something pretty amazing about watching it all come together. Here's a little insight straight from their factory floor:

We'll be honest with you...

Making electronics in the USA is not the easy way to do it. It's more work, it costs more, and it takes more time. We could absolutely save money by making them elsewhere, like so many companies do.
But we believe some things are worth the extra effort. Supporting skilled American workers. Keeping quality close to home. Being able to stand behind every single component in your outdoor kit. To us, that's simply the right way to do it - not because it's easier, and definitely not because it's cheaper, but because it matters.

And at the end of the day, all of it - the American-made electronics, the in-house assembly, the extra care - it's for them. The tail-wagging, zoomie-loving, flag-chasing goodest boys and girls who make everything worth it.

A toy she actually begs to play with.

Three months in, Luna still isn't bored of Pounce.
Luna's mom tests a lot of cat toys. Most get a day, maybe a week, before they end up in a drawer. So when she put Pounce! in her 30-Day Cat Enrichment Challenge, after three months of daily use, we noticed.
Her take: it's "like chase the flag, for a cat." Changing speed, changing direction, and never fully predictable, which is exactly why Luna keeps coming back.

Four rescue dogs, three children's books, and a whole lot of SwiftPaws joy.
Every so often we meet a member of the SwiftPaws community whose story stops us in our tracks. Dar Pangio is one of them. When she isn't watching her four rescue dogs zoom after the lure, she's turning her love for them into children's books that give back to the rescues who need it most.
Dar is the author and founder behind Rescue Reads Publishing, a labor of love inspired by her own pack. She and her husband share their home with four rescues, and each one has a story worth telling. Those stories became books - warm, funny reads for kids that champion kindness, compassion, animal rescue, and responsible pet ownership. Dar dedicates every title to a different rescue organization, and gives back through donations and by shining a light on the incredible work these groups do.

A decade of chasing the dream - right here on the Space Coast

Interview highlights

The Golden Ticket. Meghan founded SwiftPaws in 2012 and aired on Shark Tank in 2022 - a decade in the making. She landed a deal with Lori Greiner, who handed over her rare "golden ticket".
It started with a mini pinscher named Pretzel. A backyard lure-coursing project with her dad became a community event and eventually the fastest-growing canine sport's favorite at-home toy.
Built on the Space Coast. Prototypes for the newest products were 3D-printed and field-tested overnight at Groundswell Startups' lab in Brevard County - proof you can build a real company in your hometown.
Cats are having a moment. The new cat-focused version is already outselling the outdoor model by volume - and Lori came back out for a Shark Tank update that aired this January.

A cavapoo's honest review of Pounce
Too hot for a walk? @explorewithjene found the fix for a bored (and “questionably part cat”) small dog. Pounce sets up in minutes and runs indoors - the lure zips, changes direction unpredictably, and stops at random, so it moves like real prey. Every catch is a win, his prey drive gets satisfied instead of aimed at the furniture, and afterward he “naps like he ran a 5K.”

Every now and then, a notification pops up on our social feed that makes the whole team stop what they’re doing and crowd around a screen.
That happened when NFL Tight End Donald Parham Jr. reached out to us on Instagram.
When you’re a 6'8" professional football player, you know exactly what it takes to train and perform at the absolute highest level. But off the gridiron, Donald has a completely different passion: his dogs, Kai and Draxx.
Donald recently shared just how deeply he’ve fallen in love with unlocking his dogs' potential:
"Dog training is a new-found passion - I got an eight-week-old dog two years ago and have been loving training him to get the most out of him. I get that proud dad feeling when he does something well!"

The Science Behind the "Cheating" Dog

If your pet cuts corners or tries to predict where the lure is going like Draxx does, we have a secret for you: they aren’t actually cheating. They’re just incredibly smart.
Our founder, Meghan, recently explained this exact phenomenon at one of our public events. When high-drive, clever pet get experience on a lure course, they start predicting the route. Instead of following the full boundary line, they will cut across the middle to ambush the "bunny" at the next turn! That is exactly why SwiftPaws is so mentally engaging - your pet actively has to think and calculate where the flag is heading. So go ahead and let them cut those corners, it means they are nailing the game!
And when they finally catch it? Meghan’s golden rule is to let them celebrate: "They caught it fair and square. If they want to tug it, shred it, or carry it around like a prize, let them! That victory is the ultimate mental reward."

Our team is officially back from Kalamazoo, Michigan, and we are still riding the high from an absolutely incredible weekend at the UKC Premier Nationals!
First and foremost, we want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who came out, cheered, and ran their dogs with us. There is nothing quite like the energy of the UKC community, and we are feeling incredibly grateful for the endless support and the pure joy we got to experience with you all in Michigan.

For those who couldn't make it to Michigan (or if you're new to the event scene), SwiftPaws had the absolute honor of hosting the official Precision Coursing tracks at Premier again this year.
We've been partnering with the UKC to run Precision Coursing since its very inception! Back during the sport's testing phase, we ran the first-ever demonstration events right here at UKC Premier to help get it off the ground. Since it officially became a real, title-earning UKC sport back in 2020, we've had the privilege of watching thousands of dogs discover the pure thrill of the track.

Even if you use our equipment at home for everyday backyard fun, you might wonder what the formal sport is all about.
The core purpose of Precision Coursing is simple: to tap into a dog's natural prey drive and chasing instincts. The sport gives pups a structured, safe environment to navigate fun track layouts that include changes of direction. Ultimately, it is a blast to watch because it highlights a dog's natural speed, agility, and clever problem-solving as they figure out the course!

One of our absolute favorite things about this sport is how deeply inclusive it is. All breeds are welcome - including mixed-breed dogs! Even canine amputees or deaf dogs are fully eligible to compete, as long as they can navigate the course safely.
Don't have a registered competition dog or have a youngster who is brand new to the game? Clubs often offer Fun Runs (official practice runs where you can guide your dog on-leash) and Puppy Dashes (tailored just for puppies from 6 months to a year old to safely build up their confidence and excitement).

Some cats are content spending their days lounging in a sunny window. Coco is not one of those cats.
For the past six years, Coco has been living her best life in Germany with her devoted humans, Dustin and Sophie. But her story started somewhere very different, on the streets of Turkey, before a rescue organization gave her a second chance at life.
Today, she's a happy, healthy Bengal mix with a loving family and enough energy to keep everyone on their toes.
